DARe-3D Wins Scottish EDGE
DARe-3D are delighted to have won Round 18 of Scottish EDGE.
Following an intense application process and semi-final, the final stage of the competition was held at the Royal Bank of Scotland Conference Centre in Gogarburn. With high-profile guest speakers including Deputy First Minister, John Swinney and Sir Tom Hunter, this two-day event was the first in-person Scottish EDGE final since 2019. Pitches were presented to a panel of judges and a large audience as well as being live streamed virtually.
Scottish EDGE is the leading funding competition for Scottish businesses deemed to have the most high-growth potential. To date, Scottish EDGE has awarded over £18.5 million to 486 businesses. With hundreds of high-calibre applicants and competing against 23 other finalists, DARe-3D secured £50,000 of funding which will be used to accelerate the company’s growth by expanding the business and extending DARe-3D’s drone fleet.
This prestigious accolade comes shortly after DARe-3D was recognised as Best Emerging Drone Services Business in the 2021 SME Scottish Enterprise Awards. Being awarded for the company’s client-centric approach and innovative nature, the business is honoured to have received such prestigious awards in close proximity to each other.
Commenting on DARe-3D’s recent achievements, Founder and Managing Director, David Ross highlighted: “We are absolutely delighted to have won these highly esteemed awards in such a short period of time. The funding from Scottish EDGE will offer a platform to take our business to the next level and we are proud to be recognised alongside so many other great Scottish companies.”
